Regardless if you are a direct nominator or a member of a nomination pool, at any point you can decide to decrease your stake or withdraw from staking completely. In any case, you will need to wait through the unbonding period (14 days) before your coins removed from staking become transferable.

Direct nomination

To decrease the amount of staked coins, but keep being a nominator please:

  1. Go to the and the tab – make sure the Stashed mode is enabled in the top left corner. You will see the list of all your accounts participating in direct nominations.

  2. For the account you would like to reduce your stake, click on three dots at the end of the line and select Unbond funds:

  3. In the popup menu choose the amount of coins you would like to unbond. Please remember that you cannot decrease your stake below minimal amount of 2000 AZERO.

  4. Click Unbond and sign the transaction.

  5. In the tab your newly modified nomination will result in a new entry appearing in the bonded column. The amount you decided to unbond will be shown with a clock icon. Hovering over the clock will show you how many eras are left in the unbonding period.

  6. After the unbonding period is finished, click again on the three dots button and select Withdraw unbonded funds. Please note that this option is active only when the corresponding account has some funds that finished unbonding and are ready to withdraw.

  7. Sign the transaction. Your unbonded coins are now transferable.

To unstake all your coins and stop being a nominator please:

  1. For the account you would like stop nominating, click on the Stop button at the end of the line and sign the transaction in the popup window.

  2. Now click on three dots at the end of the line and select Unbond funds (see the screenshot above).

  3. In the popup menu select the all bonded toggle to make sure all your funds will be subject to unbonding (entering the full value without the toggle on might not work due to some fractional coins on far decimal places that are not displayed in the UI).

  4. Click Unbond and sign the transaction.

  5. After the unbonding period is finished, click again on the three dots button and select Withdraw unbonded funds. Please note that this option is active only when the corresponding account has some funds that finished unbonding and are ready to withdraw.

  6. Sign the transaction. Your unbonded coins are now transferable.

Nomination pools

For members of nomination pools the procedure of decreasing the amount of staked coins is almost the same as the one for completely leaving the pool. Please follow the steps below:

  1. For the account you would like to reduce your stake, click on three dots at the end of the line and select Unbond funds:

  2. In the popup menu choose the amount of coins you would like to unbond. Please remember that you cannot decrease your stake below minimal amount of 10 AZERO if you would like to keep being a member of that nomination pool. If you would like to leave the pool, make sure to unbond everything by turning the all bonded toggle on (entering the full value without the toggle on might not work due to some fractional coins on far decimal places that are not displayed in the UI).

  3. Click Unbond and sign the transaction.

  4. After the unbonding period is finished, click again on the three dots button and select Withdraw unbonded. Please note that this option is active only when the corresponding account has some funds that finished unbonding and are ready to withdraw.

  5. Sign the transaction. Your unbonded coins will be transferred back from the pool to your account.

Go to the and the tab – make sure the Stashed mode is enabled in the top left corner. You will see the list of all your accounts participating in direct nominations.

In the tab your newly modified nomination will result in a clock icon appearing in the bonded column. Hovering over the clock will show you how many eras are left in the unbonding period.

Go to the and the tab – make sure the Pooled mode is enabled in the top left corner. You will see the list of all your accounts participating in nomination pools.

In the tab your newly modified nomination will result in a clock icon appearing in the bonded column, next to the amount you decided to unbond. Hovering over the clock will show you how many eras are left in the unbonding period.
