If you would like to learn how to start staking immediately, head to How to Start Staking Via the Dashboard[hyperlinked]. This section provides some additional information about the different tabs in the UI.
In the dashboard, you will see a variety of tabs: Overview, Nominate, Pools, Payouts, Validators, Favourites and Resources. Let’s go over each one and its purpose.
The Overview tab (testnet).
The Overview tab gives you a detailed view of the current stats of the staking mechanism, including:
Total nominators (number of nominators active or waiting)
Active nominators
Current era number
Historical reward rate
Inflation rate
Percentage of the supply which is staked
Number of active nomination pools

Number of active pool members
Minimum bond for a direct nomination
Once connected, the tab also displays your account’s:

The portions of the balance which are: available, unlocking, nominating, and pooled
Reserve balance (existential deposit)
Recent payouts, as well as a 10-day average
The Nominate tab (testnet).
The minimum bond (for a direct nomination) is displayed at the top of the page. If you are already staking (and your accounts are connected), this tab also allows you to view:

Which era your unbonding coins will be unlocked

It also allows you to make changes to your current staking setup. From this tab, you can:

Rebond coins which are in the process of unbonding
Change your reward destination
Change your controller account
Stop nominating your current validator and select a new one
The Pools tab allows you to join or create a nomination pool (tutorial available here[hyperlinked]), as well as manage your already existing membership in one.
The Pools tab (testnet).
It is split into three sections by default: Overview, All Pools and Favorites. If you have already joined a pool (and your accounts are connected), a fourth section is available – Members. By default, in the Overview section, you can view:
The number of active pools
The minimum bond to join a pool
The minimum bond to create a pool
If you have already joined a pool (and your accounts are connected), it also allows you to view:
Your balance, separated into: active, bonded (in pools), unlocking and free
Which era your unbonding coins will be unlocked
The amount of rewards available to be claimed
The status of your pooled staking setup (waiting, earning rewards, etc)
Which validator the pool is nominating
The different role accounts for the pool (depositor, root, nominator, state toggler)
The pool’s state (open, closed)
The amount of members in the pool
The total amount of coins bonded to the pool
The amount of coins that have been claimed by pool members
The amount of coins available for pool members to claim
In addition, it allows you to perform a variety of account actions. From this tab, you can:
Bond more coins

Withdraw or bond your claimable rewards
Leave the pool
Create your own pool
The Members section allows you to view every other member in the same nomination pool as you.
In the All Pools section, you can view every pool on the network (and their stats). You can sort through the pools using the filters, or search for a specific pool using the search bar. You can also set a pool as favorite by clicking the heart symbol next to it. Lastly, the Favorites section allows you to view all the pools which you have set as favorite. Here you can sort using filters and manage the list of favorite pools.
